“The Time They Spent Here”: This film surveys the truly stunning rock art still visible on Sweden’s west coast, carved by artists beginning around 4,000 years ago, depicting Bronze Age animals, humans, ships, weapons, and symbols. Techniques to preserve this artistic heritage range from paper rubbings to digital reconstruction. (2) “Diving in Aegean History”: This film follows the first systematic underwater archaeological survey around Kasos Island in the Aegean Sea. The survey team did intensive diving in search of ancient shipwrecks and artifacts from Homeric times through the 20th century.
